Police refused to register my FIR. What can I do?
Under Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, an officer in charge of a police station must register an FIR for a cognizable offence. If they refuse, you can send your complaint in writing to the Superintendent of Police, who can direct an FIR to be registered or investigate the matter personally. You can also approach a Magistrate under Section 22-A/22-B Cr.P.C. to direct registration of the FIR.
Sample answer for illustration. Real answers in the app cite Pakistani legal sources and are specific to your question — always verify with a licensed advocate before acting.
